MAC Heavenly Creature Mineralize Blush in Supernova

Heavenly Creature collection features four blushers: Ring of Saturn, Solar Ray, Supernova and Stratus. All limited edition.
Supernova is a very bold and intense shade of magenta/reddish pink with a slightly shimmery, golden finish. The packaging is typical for MAC blushers: black and sturdy.
Supernova is not the easiest blusher to apply, party because it is so intense and it is not that easy to blend. The texture is soft and smooth (that’s what I love about mineralized products), it’s easily buildable and (mentioned above) it is VERY intense and highly pigmented. You really need just a small amount of product to fully cover your both cheeks. Like, a REALLY small amount. When I first used it, I put on just the amount that I do with my regular blush and boy; I looked like a male zebra finch (the one with really bright, red cheeks). Lol.

The finish is frosty / shimmery and it looks lovely on the cheeks. The lasting power with a foundation underneath is: after about 6 hours it still looked bright although it faded slightly. I wore it for 8 hours in total. Overall, it lasted quite long. It performs better than most blushers I own.

Similar shades: There is not anything quite similar to Supernova that I own, the only three that are comparable are is Gosh Natural Touch Cream Blusher in Lusty Pink, which is pinker, lighter, brighter and has a creamy finish. NYX Cream Blush in Hot Pink, which is much, much brighter and pinker and has a creamy finish. Also Sleek Makeup Blush in Pomegranate, which is more brown-ish pink but has a similar finish. None of them is as intense as MAC in Supernova.
I would definitely recommend it to those of you who are not afraid of bold and bright colours. Supernova might not be a holy grail of blushers but it is certainly worth having. I would consider getting more. A.
